Spring / Autumn
Spring and autumn are the quiet periods in Méribel. It's a good time for those, who want to get away from the crowds and escape to some peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings. These are the times that the French come here to walk, away from the tourists, amongst the spring flowers and autumn coloured trees, to the sound of the cowbells and the crickets.
Although Méribel itself is mainly shut, the old Savoie village of Les Allues (5 minutes walk via footpath from the chalet) is still very much alive, with 4 restaurants, 2 bars, village shop and news agent and a very interesting museum on the area.
