We first came here 3 years ago and have been dreaming of returning ever since. A last-minute opportunity to get away made our dreams come true and I can only say 'Why did we leave it so long !'. Jerry and Bettina are warm and welcoming, the chalet is relaxing and cosy, and the food is totally fabulous. After an amazing array for breakfast Jerry whisked us up to the slopes all ready to enjoy the great variety of skiing that the 3 Valleys has to offer. My husband skiied back to the chalet every day, whilst I took the more comfortable option of being picked up by Jerry, and chauffered back to Chalet Bartavelle in time for a roaring log fire, freshly baked cakes and biscuits, and lashings of hot tea. After a few hours relaxing it's time for aperitifs, canapes and a stunning three course meal. My two trips here have been the most relaxing, stress-free and special holidays EVER. I can't recommend them enough and we certainly won't be leaving it another three years before going back !

Lovely catered chalet in a small hamlet 5min fom Meribel but you can ski back to the chalet (snow permitting). We hired skis which were waiting at the chalet on arrival and someone was there to fit them within half an hour,so it was straight out on the slopes for us. Jerry drove us to and from the slopes each day so there was no lugging of skis - hoorah! We are a family of five and we had the whole of the top floor to ourselves. The rooms had lovely comfy beds with crisp white linen and faux fur throws - snuggly for post tea snooze/read! Storage space in each room was limited but there was a big landing cupboard for ski wear. The bathroom and shower-room were not en-suite and one toilet was a sani-flow so probably best for a family or very good friends. The most amazing thing about the holiday however was the FOOD! Jerry is an amazing cook and catered fanatastically for our daughters - one vegetarian, one semi-vegetarian and one dairy free! Each day we were set up for a day on the slopes with cooked breakfasts and when energy was fading on the last run the thought of tea and cakes kept us going. But the highlight was the evening meal - pre-dinner drinks and canapes whilst relaxing in front of the fire were followed by three courses of the most delicious food accompanied by wine, candlelight and conversation. Jerry and Bettina were fabulous hosts and we're all dying to go back again soon - might have to go in the summer if we can't wait until next winter!

We stayed at Chalet B in January 2009 and had the most fantastic holiday! I had only skied once before and for my husband this was his first time. We stayed in the downstairs apartment where we had a lovely bedroom, lounge and our own bathroom. Skis were ready for us on our arrival and all of our lessons and ski passes had been sorted out. This meant a really relaxing start to the holiday, which was great. To echo the other comments on this site Jerrys food was AMAZING and really made the holiday something special. Excellent dishes every night from canapes right through to dessert! Although the chalet is outside of Meribel we felt this was actually an added bonus as we could walk down through the trees to the bars in the village below. Jerry was really flexible with picking us up and if we wanted to come back early we easily caught the bus and made the short walk in our ski boots. All in all we would strongly recommend a stay at this great chalet - we hope to be back soon!

We had a great time in this chalet. it was warm , cosy and clean, lovely wood used throughout. The food was delicious,a 3 course gourmet meal, homemade cakes & biscuits when you came back from the slopes, washed down with a cuppa, yummy ! Jerry did really well as we had a vegetarian and a 19 month old to cater for too.The drop off to the slopes was nearer than any hotel you could stay at in Meribel! Always on time for pick up, nothing was too much trouble, well done Jerry & Bettina!
